Lulu Cheng 
Lulu Cheng works using traditional Chinese  painting, materials and processes to create expressive contemporary brush paintings. During Colony 55, Cheng has undertaken a series of site-specific responses to Venice, producing extended paintings that capture her experience of this unique city. 

Lulu Cheng is a graduate of Tsinghua University Beijing, and lectures at the University of Shanghai. She has exhibited widely throughout China; including Beijing ShangYuan Art Museum, Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art, Hongqiao Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai. Lulu Cheng is currently on sabbatical as a Visiting Professor to Buckinghamshire New University, undertaking research and travel to the UK and Europe.
